MakerBot Industries
Upon joining MakerBot, I led the redesign of the company’s Thingiverse website, best known for being one of the largest global communities for exploring, making, and sharing 3D designs and models. Under my design leadership, the community grew from 27k members to 270k, and from 25k downloadable, 3D printable things to over 429k. Prior to launching the Replicator 2, I provided the software development team with guidance on the interface and user experience of MakerWare, the company’s flagship 3D printing software.
I was instrumental in architecting the MakerBot 3D Ecosystem of products and services. As user experience design lead on the award- winning MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner, I worked closely with a cross-functional team to take MakerBot products to new levels of quality and professionalism. Concurrent with the development and launch of the MakerBot Digitizer, I oversaw the user experience of the complete line of Fifth Generation MakerBot Replicator 3D Printers, the MakerBot Digital Store, Mobile apps, and professional services.
Following their unveiling at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show, I continued to evangelize user experience in the creation of a New Product Development framework designed to drive the next generation of products.
